SODacious Lawn

The Complete Landscaping Package often includes an underground irrigation system installation, and in this case, is topped with Sod. We source sod from a regional farm, so it is already acclimated to our harsh winters. The sod has been cultivated with the appropriate grass, fescue, which thrives in our particularly cold zone (Zone 3 & 4 Climate). The installation process on this property tested our crew. After several sunny days of soil prep, grading the slopes, and irrigation trenching ~ the weather turned suddenly with a deluge of daily rain. Cudos to our team of installers who like playing in the mud. We found pockets of semi-dry time to roll out the sod and secure it in place. Needless to say, we dialed back the irrigation for a few days, to allow for the natural ingredients of rain to assist with the sod taking root. A week or two later we adjusted the irrigation system, and dialed in the frequency with each sprinkler zone. It is now the most lush lawn on the block!
