I have been working in the landscape, horticulture, and nursery industries for over 30 years. I have had the opportunity to work and study under some of the most respected professionals and educators in the Midwest.

I am passionate about what I do, and I believe God has prepared me for this line of work.  I could not have made it without Him in my life.  It is fascinating and exciting to revisit a previous landscape job and marvel at the growth and beauty that has taken place.  It is amazing how diverse plant material can be with all of the corresponding colors, textures, shapes, and smells.

Growing up, I was always interested in drawing, painting, & art in general.   I spent most of my summers enjoying the warm weather, trapping pocket gophers for local farmers, fishing the lakes & local rivers of Northwest Minnesota, and vegetable gardening with my family.

In 1994, I graduated with a BS degree in Landscape Horticulture from North Dakota State University. In 1995, I was accepted into Graduate school at the University of Minnesota and studied Nursery Management and Soil Science.  During this time, I became a Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional through the MNLA (Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association) at the University of Minnesota.

My goal in any landscape is to create just a glimpse of what it may have been like to have experienced the Garden of Eden.  I realize what Touch of Eden Landscaping creates, however, is but a shadow of what was ("Paradise Lost") and what is to come.  We leave every landscape with a "Touch of Eden" for your enjoyment.
