100’ Boulder Wall

One of our favorite clients this summer. An old retaining wall made of miscellaneous scrap was beginning to fail. The legal easement to this particular property tiptoed along the edge of a forest ravine, and it was paramount that we retain driveway access to this one-of-a-kind lakeshore property. After building a temporary access path for the bobcat below in the ravine and clearing out some beautiful wildflowers from above, Touch of Eden Landscaping began the arduous work of skillfully demolishing the old wall, but not so as to disturb the foundation of the driveway above. After hauling out all the rotten debris, we brought in loads of Large Boulders. Our team is pretty skilled at stacking boulders (insert humble brag). Eventually, they resecured the terrace above and created a 100’ Boulder Wall to permanently retain the easment/driveway. The transformation was overnight. New Soil & Seed on the edge, making way for future parking or perhaps an add-on to their raspberry patch.
