Boat House Patio
Touch of Eden Landscaping was asked to design a new lake access connecting the Newly Renovated Boat House. Sidewalk Pavers curved around the back hillside, leading to a broad patio for guests to diverge directly into the Lake or traverse a little further to the new location of docks, lifts, boats, and all the amenities of lakeshore living. Speaking of lakeshore, this particular project is situated against Long Lake, and the spring thaw pushes ice, dams along the shoreline, and creates ice ridges - while eroding (undercutting) the embankment. The annual solution is to shore up the shoreline with “riprap” rock to take the brunt of the ice push. We added heavy-duty sawn boulders as step units, built within the rip-rap for a long-term solution.
