I started Touch of Eden Landscaping in 2000 with the hope of bringing a fresh innovative look to the Park Rapids lakes area. My goal is to create unique, natural looking landscapes that are low maintenance and fall in line with sound environmental practices. My customers look to Touch of Eden Landscaping for great quality, professional advice and incredible service.
Touch of Eden Landscaping try's to deliver on these expectations every time.
We believe that your satisfaction should be guaranteed.
I have been working in the landscape, horticulture and nursery industries for over 30 years. I have had the opportunity to work and study under some of the most respected professionals and educators in the Midwest.
Growing up, I was always interested in drawing, painting and art in general. I spent most of my summers enjoying the warm weather, trapping pocket gophers for local farmers, fishing the lakes and local rivers of Northwest Minnesota and vegetable gardening with my family.
In 1994, I graduated with a BS degree in Landscape Horticulture from North Dakota State University.n 1995, I was accepted into Graduate school at the University of Minnesota and studied Nursery Management and Soil Science. During this time, I became a Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional through the MNLA (Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association) at the University of Minnesota.
I am passionate about what I do and I believe God has prepared me for this line of work. I could not have made it without Him in my life. It is fascinating and exciting to revisit a previous landscape job and marvel at the growth and beauty that has taken place. It is amazing how diverse plant material can be with all of the corresponding colors, textures, shapes and smells.
My goal in any landscape is to create just a glimpse of what it may have been like to have experienced the Garden of Eden. I realize what Touch of Eden Landscaping creates however, is but a shadow of what was ("Paradise Lost") and what is to come. We leave every landscape with a "Touch of Eden" for your enjoyment.
Thank you for visiting my website and I hope you are inspired to add a little color to your landscape. Please let me know if I can serve you in improving your yard in any way.
